It’s thought that William Shakespeare was born this month…
As one of the world’s greatest writers we decided to feature our Writers Club in this week’s newsletter.
In the next few issues we’ll be sharing with you some of the fabulous creativity of our Working Together Members, including music and dance from this week’s online disco with DJ and a film made by Trustee Louise about what she’s been doing for Sewing Bee.
Our Writers Club: adapted…
We’ve adapted Writers Club to be sure our members can still enjoy writing and sharing their work during lockdown.
Our Writers Club Leader Sarah says:
“I am thinking of all the small things I have to be thankful for at the moment: a colourful pair of socks, an attractive mug or jug, books (especially a cosy novel), pork scratchings and a glass of ginger beer, my sister – these are a few of my favourite things!”
What are some of your favourite things?
If you would like to join in with Writers Club or have any work to share with us please get in touch.
Here’s a recent poem from Steph…
My spring poem for writers club 2020
On a hill, by a lake
An eagle spreads it’s wings
In the summer sun
The flowers are blooming
In the midday sun.
In the far off distance
I can hear
The bleating of lambs
Running towards me
And the birdsong
Coming from afar.
Most importantly, stay safe and stay healthy everyone!
